I'm under the (possible) misunderstanding that having DelaCopy listening on port 873 is enough for it facilitate a remote backup using SSH.

Is this correct? Or must you also, have ssh.exe running as a separate service listening on port 22?

Please explain.

Hi,

Port 873 is all you need unless you are SSH tunnelling.

When you use DeltaCopy client and server on Windows, SSH does not come into picture. However, if you are transferring between Linux and Windows and are using SSH tunnelling, then you will need 22 or whatever port your SSH server is listening on.

Regards.

If the client is on Linux and the server is Windows then isn't SSH required? How is this implemented?
