OK,

I use Delta Copy to back up and to sync things among different computers.

The backup works fine with no problems. It's the syncing that seems to have problems.

The way we do the syncing is have a central location where the files are stored, edited, created, ect. DeltaCopy Server is setup with a Virtual Directory pointed to that location.

then the computers that need a copy of this information then pull down the files. Problem is the files have no permissions on them no matter what chmod is set on them when pulled down to the local machine. The files are then un readable and in some cases the computer has to be booted up from a CD so the files can be deleted.

I've tired running the task under ever user and system account with the same results.

I resorted to creating a vbs script to pull the files down so i could utilize the command line cacls command but even that fails sometime cause the permissions are so out of wack from rsync.
