I have two installations of DeltaCopy on two different servers I back up to one remote server using SSH.
The configuration on each is nearly identical. However, one will produce the e-mail and the other hardly ever will.
Here are the pertinent screenshots of the two installations:
First the one that generates e-mails:
and now the one that doesn't:
As you can see, according to the Copying Schedule the SD Backup appears to be working ok. It just won't generate the e-mail. The test button on the email configuration page sends the e-mail just fine but I have yet to receive an e-mail from the SD Backup Deltacopy.
Any ideas?

I had a similar issue when installing on a unit that had multiple user accounts. When a non-administrative user is logged on, it will not send e-mails.
Make sure the synametrics key and subkey allow "Power Users" full control. This solved my issue since the users in question were in that group.
Hope that helps.

I'm having the same issue.
Not sure why at times I don't receive an e-mail. It's not getting caught as spam or anything, either.
rubmyback: what's a synametrics key?

Same here. I am logged in with an Administrative account but still it is not sending an email after the back up job. Test email is being sent properly and am receiving it also. But after the backup job it's not sending any email.

Did anyone ever find a solution to this?
Same problem here...
test emails work fine but the scheduled job does not send an email.
checked spam filter and transaction log, the message is not being generated by the deltacopy client software.

I never found an answer, but i did find that if the job was scheduled, I could open the Schedule Tasks folder, go to Advances, and look at the log, I can see if it completed or not. Most of the time, if I don't get an email, it is because the job didn't complete, or because my Antivirus blocked it.

If you are using an administrator account to schedule the backup make sure that account has access (permissions) to the files backed up for a successful backup.
Also set the email settings for deltacopy under the administrator user (don't know if this is necessary).
Also as the administrator look at the task under task scheduler and set "run with highest privileges" or similar if available (Sets elevated privileges for task, I'm on Windows 7).
Also if there is a "configure for:" dropdown set it for your OS (Windows 7).
On the server, you might want to set "log file = cygdrive/path/to/file.log" for each profile/backup to see more info in the log. On the client side there is deltac.log.
Hope this helps.
