I tried to install the Deltacopy server service on 2008 64 bit running in a vm and got "service creation failed. unknown error..."

Update: I found that by installing as the local admin account instead of a domain admin or member of the local administrators group the registration worked and I am off to rsync nirvana!

I had the same problem, but restarted my window 2008 server, and when I logged back in, the service was running automatically.
